Project Description

This 1920s built double brick Californian Bungalow is set on a large, rectangular block of land. The two bedroom house has many original features that include high ornamental ceilings and fire place. The existing house did not make any connection with rear yard. The client’s brief required additional bedroom, ensuite and open plan living to integrate the rear yard

The unsympathetic extension to the original house in the rear was removed, giving room to new extension comprising laundry, modern kitchen, open plan family, lounge and dining room. The rear deck provides an important link and transition from indoor to outdoor, connecting to the lawn for outdoor family entertainment and recreation.
